ImageFolio Professional Edition - $189 (USD)
ImageFolio Professional Edition provides you with all of the features necessary to run a highly advanced multimedia gallery. ImageFolio Basic Edition - $89 (USD)
ImageFolio Basic Edition provides you with the basic features to put your multimedia gallery online. Using just 1 script and 1 configuration file, you get started within 10 minutes of unzipping the product. There is no typing involved or database to maintain. Click here to view the features!
So, What's the Difference?
ImageFolio Professional Edition comes with a search engine, browser-based administration area, image and thumbnail captions, a newly added section, a random display section, and media counts next to category names. The Basic Edition does not come with any of the features listed above and requires you to build and maintain your gallery using an FTP utility.
However, the Basic Edition has it's strong points. First of all, it does not use or require a database, so it can support unlimited images. And secondly, there is only 1 configuration file, 1 script, 3 templates, and a few images to install.
Bottom Line...
If you need search capabilities and caption capabilities, or if multiple users will be building your gallery, go with the Pro Edition. Otherwise, go with the Basic and upgrade later.
