What is the Picture Post Mod?
This is an add-on module for ImageFolio Professional Edition, that allows your users (or yourself) to post pictures to the category of their choice in any ImageFolio Gallery. The Picture Post Mod even generates thumbnail images, and resizes large images to your specifications -- including maximum dimensions, image quality, sharpness, and contrast. ImageFolio's Picture Post Mod offers support for up to 68 file types, including GIF, JPEG, TIF, PSD, PNG, BMP, WMF, MPEG, and many more! Installation takes about 1 minutes. Note: The Picture Post Mod requires ImageMagick, a freely available third party image editor available for Unix, Linux, and Windows servers.

Before you purchase the Picture Post Mod, you need to be aware of the requirements. The Picture Post Mod requires that you have a licensed copy of ImageFolio Professional 3.1, the Multi User Mod and a software product called ImageMagick installed on your server. You need to check with your ISP or have your own server with ImageMagick already installed before you order the Picture Post mod. If you cannot install ImageMagick on your servers we can do that for you. You can purchase an installation here. Make sure you can give us root access to the server.

Installation Instructions

Unzip your IFPro31_Picture_Post_Mod_3*.zip file to a directory on your computer

You should see the following directory:

cgi-bin
FTP (login) to your Web server.
Upload the post_config.pl to 'cgi-bin/ImageFolio31/config' directory. Make sure you transfer all files in ASCII TEXT mode!
Open post_config.pl and answer all of the questions. Open config.pl and set "$using_picturepost_mod = 1;
Save, then Upload all of the files you modified, back to your server.
Open your Web browser and login to the admin area. Now modify an ImageFolio group so that they can upload files. Save the group and login to the gallery as a user with these group permissions. If you see an "upload" button then you're in business, otherwise, try again.
